Job Description
We are seeking aLocums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provideemergency department coverage at two main hospitals and four affiliatedfreestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) in Corpus Christi, Texas, and thesurrounding area. Providers must be flexible and willing to work across all sixlocations as needed. Responsibilities
· Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patientspresenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
· Obtain patient histories and perform physicalexaminations.
· Order and interpret diagnostic tests,including laboratory work and imaging.
· Develop and implement treatment plans.
· Stabilize patients and coordinate care ortransfers as needed.
· Document patient encounters and treatmentplans accurately.
· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, andother clinical staff to provide quality emergency care.
Requirements· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistantor Nurse Practitioner program
· Current national certification:
o PA: NCCPAcertification
o NP: Nationalcertification in an appropriate specialty
· Active Texas license
· Current BLS and ACLS certifications
