The Education Coordinator has primary responsibility for coordinating the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation or consultation of educational activities to develop, maintain and enhance clinical and educational skills of personnel within the laboratory. Works closely and communicates with the management team regarding the educational and technical needs of the department. May provide technical training for a variety of departments at Mayo. Serves as a technical and public relations liaison and resource technician for the laboratory computer systems. Assists laboratory staff with cardiac knowledge, technical knowledge, and procedural problems. Develops, facilitates and maintains quality measures, quality assurance and quality improvements for various areas of the lab. Performs special procedures and various laboratory technician duties as needed.
